The Madness of March !!!!!

What a month March has been! From venturing into a new blog project, transitioning to Adult Care and then being admitted to hospital, it really has been a whirlwind! March has taught me some invaluable lessons and has also made me realise quite alot. Here are some of the things I have learnt : 1. I have learnt that sometimes things do not go to plan or how we originally wished they would. This does not mean that you are failing as a person or not in control whatsoever. For example, I was not expecting to be admitted to hospital this month therefore I felt like I was no longer in control of what would happen to me. 2. I have learnt that life is somewhat unpredictable. As much as you try and 'plan' what goes on in your life, life has its own plan! This is perfectly natural although sometimes it can feel like you have no sense of direction. 3. Confide in someone. As a person, I love to help people with their troubles and make them feel at ease but when it comes to opening up, sometimes I struggle. There is nothing wrong with ringing or texting someone and saying 'look, I need someone to just listen' or 'can I talk to you?'. As humans, we often feel like we are burdens to one another - but we are not. 4. Always ask for help. I've mentioned before that sometimes I forget I have CF emotionally. Life can be challenging without a long term condition. Juggling my alevels, friendships and other things can be difficult at times. Sometimes, because we are so focused on concentrating to juggle everything, we forget that people around us want to help and are there to help! Don't suffer - ask for help. 5. It may not seem like it, but with time, support and effort, you will be ok and get back to how you once were. Adjusting can be hard but it definitely is worth it. For example, I hate adjusting to hospital regimes but I know that it will be worth it. It may take some time to get back to how I was once but I will get there! March has really been a 'mad' month, but it has had to happen. I truly do believe that greater things are usually in the works when we don't necessarily believe they are. I try to keep this mindset as it helps me push through, adjust and accept challenging situations. I hope you enjoyed reading and I look forward to what April brings! All my love, Nubi xxx Â
