Happy Belated New Year!!!

Hey guys! I know we are 14 days into the New Year, but....HAPPY NEW YEAR! I hope everybody had an amazing Christmas filled with love, light, happiness and food of course.

In the blink of an eye, another year has gone just like that. 2017 was a strange one for many of us, it brought happiness, sadness, trials and tribulations, and 2018 will probably do the same.

At the start of every new year, people often have 'New Years Resolutions'. I have a few of my own, but they are more commitments, rather than resolutions. To 'resolve' something means to find a solution. To 'commit' to something means that you are dedicated to something. I prefer the idea of commitments, because I prefer the idea of dedication. Dedication to me, means that there is a purpose to your actions and words. So I suppose you could say, I have New Year GOALS instead of RESOLUTIONS.

So here are some of my New Years Goals:

1. STOP USING MY CYSTIC FIBROSIS AS AN EXCUSE

2017 was a year of highs and lows for my health, mind-set and wellbeing. The past six months have been a breath of fresh air. I have laughed, achieved and lived. My health has been the best it has in a long time. But for some reason, I still hold myself back a little. When things are going so well, I often think it is too good to be true. I think that my Cystic Fibrosis is going to creep its little head up, but it won't. I have to live in the moment and not let it define me any longer. Last year, I couldn't do things because of my CF, and I find myself still using it as an excuse as to why I can't do things. 2018, this will not happen no more.

2. TRAVEL MORE

Despite the terrible things that go on in the world, the world really is a beautiful place. It has so many wonderful places and people. In 2018, I really want to make as many memories as possible and explore what the wonderful world has to offer.

3. BLOG MORE

I love to write. From blogs to poems, I love writing. I sometimes think if I am well, I don't have anything to write about. I know this is not true. I really want to write more and give people an insight to my life and how you can achieve anything you put your mind too.

4. EXERCISE MORE

I had to take a little bit of a backseat with my fitness last year, and from then I have just become really lazy. I want to be more active and enjoy exercise again, instead of being scared of it.

5. ENJOY LIFE

Overall, I just want to enjoy life and all the punches it throws at me. There will be hard times. There will be good times. But that is life, and life is unpredictable. The one thing we can do is enjoy it.

So there are my 2018 GOALS. They probably don't seem like much, but they are the little things that are going to make my 2018 more fulfilled and happy.

My new motto is 'whatever happens in life happens, but until it happens, breathe, live, love laugh and enjoy life'.
